Chip/tuner info request

Hello, Just joined. I am trying to get information on either installing a chip or tuner on my 2007 Tahoe. I just bought it and I am not terribly happy with the MPG even with plus gas. I have been told that by putting a cold air intake and a chip or tuner will help with both HP,MPG, and towing my trailer. Can someone chime in on if true and if so what it would cost to do so. Hey Larry, welcome aboard. Tons of info within the performance section as well on this topic... check out Blackbear performance under the tyf supporting vendors. They offer custom tuning services that really improve the vehicles performance. I have personally had two previous vehicles tuned by them with excellent results in both mileage and drivability gains. So much so, that I have put my deposit in for my current 07 yukon to be tuned next month! One thing be to mindful of is they are a very small operation so only email for questions and expect about a 48 hour turnaround for response. They are extremely busy but worth waiting for!
