It’s that time of year again when my favorite people in my life are looking for ideas for things to get me for Christmas. I have a Tech2, and some other specialty tools for these things, but I’m curious if you guys have anything in your shops that you would consider especially useful or unique, that I should consider asking for. What say y’all?
Roll-around tech cart if you don't already have one. You load it up with the tools and parts for the particular task, then you can bring it with you and have your stuff picked out and at your disposal without having to make multiple trips back to the tool box or around your garage collecting the specialty tools for the project. It's also a great place to set items as you're working- removed parts or parts about to be installed, laptop, phone, beverage, etc.
I use mine to drag around as I'm under and around a car on the lift. It's really handy when doing brakes cuz it's a flat surface to hold the tools, parts, brake cleaner and drain pan at waist height. I'll load it with hammer, nails or screws, and other materials to bring to the house (shop is about 40' away from house and garage) for the house projects or to work in the garage, which is mostly non-car or metal stuff.
