Hey everyone. New guy here on the site. I just wanted to ask an opinion on something that happened the other day at my local G.M. dealer where i bought my new Yukon Denali. Here's the problem: I went to the dealer to pick up a Chrome fuel door for the Yukon and they offered to install it,well i took a real quick look at the stock one and assumed that they were bolted on with Torx head bolts and thought sure no problem, should take them 5 min max. Well a half hour later i walk into the shop and a young "Technican" was busy drilling holes in the rivets to get the stock one off. Well he made a complete mess of it and the holes he drilled were huge and ragged. So to cover up his mistake he ground off the theaded inserts on the new gas door and installed it with huge pop rivets that just barely covered up the holes he drilled. I would have thought he would have used the supplied Torx head bolts that came with the new fuel door. Anyway... I'm pissed to say the least! What should i say to them,I dont know how they are gonna fix it without replacing the whole quarter panel. I just want it to look factory clean, not pop riveted on. I told the sales manager and he wants his head service tech to look at it. What a fuggin pain. Anyway.. Am I being unresonable? We just spent 80k on a new truck and its not even a week old.
