Well they come and go on eBay. I've seen them with my own eyes without sensors so I promise they really make them! And if your friend has a bodyshop, they can definitely sand it down and make them 'disappear' haha. Yes they are direct bolt on, BUT the chrome strip AND the step pad are different. On the older bumpers, the step pad is just one piece. The new one is the top unpainted black step pad and then the chrome strip that snaps in with tabs along the front of it.

You could just leave them there and not attach the wiring to anything. Nothing else is needed, it is a direct swap.

Also, the 07-09 bumpers for the tahoe have a one piece step pad. The denali/esky/2010 tahoe bumpers have a two piece step pad consisting of the actual step pad but also a separate chrome strip that uses tabs to lock into place.[/QUOTE

If I read this correctly. Does that mean the esky bumper pad w/ chrome piece will fit a 2010 tahoe. Wanted to make sure before I buy from a fellow member.

why not get the 2012 esky premium bumper with the dual exhaust. it's expensive, (1250+paint), but well worth it.

email me and i can refer you to someone.

they're not welded to the body nor does the exhaust "connect" to them, rather they flush up to the tips.

the bumper cover itself it almost the same price, if not the same. Where it gets you is the bumper pad and the chrome trim, which is obviously different (I realize that now since the original post).
