Chrome wheels- to polish or not to polish

Are factory chrome wheels. (Off a high county) polishable??? Or are they cleared( spray cleaner only). I'm getting differing accounts? Thanks in advance.

they are chrome and you can polish them. If you're in doubt, you can feel the surface to see if it's cleared.
