This sound just started today. It happens when taking off from a stop under moderate to heavy acceleration and also when coming to a stop. Its a simple one time clank. I was able to make it happen in the driveway by letting it roll a few feet and hitting the brakes hard. So I got the wife in the drivers seat and crawled underneath. I isolated it to the drivers side lower control arm. Seems kinda strange for a 2006 Yukon. I tried tightening it but it seems pretty snug. Bushing even looks pretty good. Anyone encounter this? Think I need a new control arm? Or just replace bushings maybe? Thanks.

I just replaced my left lower control arm as the bushing was loose in the arm ,I tried welding the bushing but it just ended up in flames,so i put in a new one ,about 15 minutes.

Same symptoms? I see a new control arm is $23.00 on Rockauto.
