At this point, I would advise you drop driving the vehicle. See if you can get a hold of a tech 2. Basically check for any trans codes, verify solenoid activation, etc. Anything you can get a hold of that would cause issue short of throwing in the towel and replacing a couple thousand dollar transmission

My slip yoke clunks loud as hell and always has for the record. Little less if I grease it up real good before sticking it back in. Only really heard when shifting from park into gear though, no noises on shifts.
