michael, he has an obs bodystyle, the one before yours and mine. they had rear drums. ours dont, however they do have a emergency brake inside them that MAY cause some clunking sounds, but i dont think its like what u described. my truck does the same thing that ur talking about. i havent addressed it yet, but im installing new shocks and rebuilding my rear calipers to see if that helps

I tell you your problem it's these damn Monroe shocks I'm shit canning mine after 2 months I hate them just kidding with the shocks being the issue but my bet is the rear end mines done that for years

If you are taking it to a shop, you dont have to tell them anything to check. Just tell them it "Clunks" when you stop. they will trouble shoot for free if they get to fix it. plus if they guess wrong at the problem they thought is was, you might not pay for that guess.

By rear end he means the differential housing between the rear tires and the bearings, axels, gear-set, and carrier inside.

I would also consider the u-joints

So what did it turn out to be? Mine does something similar. I think my shocks are just warn out but it sounds like yours are new.
