I have a 2004 z71 tahoe. I need to replace a stepper motor and some lights in the cluster. I was wondering if anyone did this on their own and where they got the parts for. Here is what I want to do:
-Replace the skin to include Tranny gauge. (I was looking at a white background but wanted to see what this looks like during day and night, installed.)
-Upgrade to LEDs mostly since they run cooler.
-Replace all stepper motors
I can solder so no issue there and have already taken a cluster completely apart when I first got the truck and it was dead. For some reason, it never went dead again 9 years later.
