What code readers do folks recommend for a 2020 Tahoe? I don't mind spending a few extras bucks for a better one.

Thanks

A code reader is just that, it reads codes but does not do what a Tech 2 can do. If all you care about is just pulling codes then the cheap ones will suffice.

A lot of guys here use Tech2’s but your vehicle is too new to use a Tech2. I have an Innova 3140g that lets me see DTC, ABS and SRS codes.

if you get a $100 vcx nano and have a windows 10 laptop or tablet it will do GDS2 which is what the dealers use, it will also do tech2win if you have any pre-2014 gm's
a comparable tool will cost you $500+

Believe it or not, I have got VCX Nano since Feb 2020 and I am not able to operate it until now. They have the worst explanations of how to operate it probably!
6 months with no luck!

I kind of had the same problem but it eventually started working, took some updates but hey for a $1000+ tool for $100 i'm not complaining too much.

I actually have two of them for two car manufacturers, neither one is able to communicate properly!
I know tech well, but this device is a mystery to me. I even found one IT guy commenting at the product reviews that it was a headache to him!

Any ideas of where to start?
