I'll try and make this complete. 154k, 2003 5.3 Yukon XL 4wd. Regular maintenance, water pump @ 120k, Plugs/Wires @ 148k. Alternator died 1/1/14, replaced with a brand new 145amp in the parking lot @ Napa (6 degrees) then drove 150 miles home. The next day, started fine but began running rough 15 minutes later at a stop sign. Rough/hard idle @ appx 550-600 RPM, and the engine light on the dash lit up. Went home, disco'd the battery & cleaned the MAF with MAF cleaner, pulled the throttle bod and cleaned w/carb clean. There was a little pooled fuel inside the intake behind the throt bod. Reassembled, started, let warm up, sprayed intake for leaks (no rpm changes). Still rough idle. Unplugged the MAF, no change in idle. Up until this point, when on a long trip (300 miles), I would get an occasional dash/engine light after appx 150 miles. But it would usually go off. MPG has been right around 15.5-16.0 on the highway, and I run around 70 or so. Some of the codes might be stale; I don't have a scan tool but will get one if I get some recommendations.
