I have been extremely blessed today and want to share my experiences about what had happened. I believe others could benefit this from my experiences. After a little drinking and cussing that I got the "Code of Death" P1870 on the cheap deal I got the Tahoe for $700. Listening to the wife nagging "You get what you paid for" I took the SUV to 3 different shops, Every shop I went to, my first reply were "Sir, I'm deaf and I need to read your lips when we talk so I can understand you" First shop was a mom and pop shop, old mechanic with a 2 lift garage. He looked at my truck by the outside and said "What was the problem?" I explained to him in details what I know so far and what I had done with the truck" He said "you need a rebuilt, gonna cost you between $1200-1500." I swallowed my self dignity and told him, "Lemme think about it" then went to another shop that was much more better looking and I pulled up the parking lot. This service manager was a weird dude, long haired, sun tanned, and said "SUP BRAH! What can I do for you?" Once again, explaining my deafness and my lip reading skill. I explained the truck issues and got a quote of $1800 with needing to change the Cam sensor, crank sensor, Throttle Position Sensor, rebuilt shift kit, and etc. Notice the bold TPS that I wrote up there. That's the hint there. So I got home and still see the wife nagging after she found the estimates in my truck. Got a couple cold ones and sat down and used my laptop and did my research. I found the site at https://www.drivetrain.com/parts_catalog/transmissions_automatics/gm_4l60e_overhaul_kit.html and scroll down to its diagnosis sheet and discovered the effects would be the simple TPS due to hard shifting. I went to Pep Boys, got a new TPS for a cheap $30 bucks and also thought my truck would need a simple tune up as well. Got E3 spark plugs, Accel Spark wires, New Distributor Cap and Rotor (misfiring code) and seafoam. I replaced everything and found the old distributor cap were loose and the screw holes were stripped. I got a bigger screws and bolted the cap in. Did everything in the driveway and had a blast seeing white smoke come out of the truck due to seafoam. Wife thought I already killed the truck and told me to buy another car. I kept on laughing and drove the truck and was amazed how smooth it was and the hard shifting was gone! I saw the AAMCO transmission shop with a sign said free transcan and thought it wouldn't hurt to check if everything is fixed or need to be fix. The results were awesome, No TCC slip or lock up, No more code P1870 and P0300. Only the O2 sensor code came back. Wow! What a relieve! I'm truly a lucky man today. (knock on wood) I hope this help others out there doing simple diagnosis and visual check up before pouring money to someone who know a simple fix costing way too much.

+Eleventy to pretty much everything said. Never trust someone who is trying to get your money. Funny thing- even if you had done all the rebuilds, shift kits, gotten your muffler bearings replaced, etc. at the shop, the problem still would not have gone away or been fixed. You'd be a pissed off dude. Good for you for doing your own research, and thanks for the post.
