Dealer? I'm surprised there working on it cause it modified and not there stuff. Do you have a camber kit on your rig? If not bell tech sells a set goes in your upper control arms. I have them installed in mine think it was 40-60 bucks. You have stock spindles correct? Atomic has stock spindles as well and I don't think he had a problem?

Boost is between 20 and 30psi depending on how my wastegate feels at the moment. Roughly 1200rwhp at that level, little turbo is maxed out.
Wow, your way out of my league lol, i was thinking 5-8 psi to start. Then build a 4l80e or could i do a t56 awd if thats possible?? Your truck must be insane man! Do you have any clips of it running? You are now my turbo truck idol! Is it a 5.3?

thats the thing, they didnt even move it from where i parked when i dropped it off. i had another guy here in town look at it and he said it wouldnt go up on their rack bc it was too low and too long, but he showed me how to adjust the cams and said i SHOULD be able to get it pretty close on my own

stock spindles and no camber kit. i just looked it up, and is it just the plates or do you buy the bolts too?

I think you're onto something with taking it to someone else besides the dealer. I don't know what options you have where you live, but for me, I wouldn't take my Tahoe to a "stealership" unless it was a last resort. I call BS on their claim that you need new spindles. There's always the chance that your top and bottom ball joints could be ready to be replaced, but they should know better than to say you need to swap out your spindles. Did they have any solid facts on why they recommended new spindles?

Also, I second Bomba02's suggestion of a camber kit. I bought a six-month warranty with my alignment when I took it to a new small shop where I live. They swore up and down that they wanted me to bring it back as I did different lowering mods to my Tahoe due to my warranty with them...I took them up on their claim and I must have had the truck back 6-7 times as I installed keys on the front and different spring setups on the rear - every time I rolled in there they were happy to see me. Ultimately they couldn't get it spot-on until I bought and and installed camber kit. The next time I took it back to them after I installed the camber kit they got it perfect.

EDIT: I went with the "Belltech 4957 Camber Kit" for the front of my 2WD 2004 Tahoe. Summitracing.com is where I bought mine from. Their price was $80 when I last checked - the shipping is free usually if you spend $100 or more. :)

I think there is a big thread on pt.net about a guy that did a T56 swap and kept his transfer case. Its not easy or cheap though. And I think he had to make his own adapter between the back of the trans and transfer case. I just finished ordering up all the parts for the T56 swap in my tahoe. Converting it to 2wd at the same time.:)

Is there any reason guys mostly go for the spindles and not the lower control arms?
My alignment is great with the lca's and my tires don't rub on the fenders.

OK heres an update...

got home tonight, pop off the front wheels, and run out the cams on the UCA all the way, tires back on camber is alot better now, but still needs work. went house shopping... come back, install new rear shocks, turn knob to 14 on all 4 corners, test drive... WOW this thing is night and day different!!! the rear shocks really made all the difference in the world. just leaving my driveway, i could feel the lack of squat in the rear of the truck. driving down the road felt much better (still a little rough, but hey its a lowered truck) and wasnt nearly as harsh as before. i ended up giving all 4 corners one more click (setting 15) and im gonna see how it feels tomorrow. still got some final ride height adjustments to make, and trying to get the bumpstops to the perfect height

altogther, ive got approx 30miles on them so far, and the front upper shock perch seems to be doing just fine... but only time will tell

I had the same problem with not enough camber adjustment. Thats a product of going low, not necessarily how you drop it.

so you have to remove the upper control arm to install these right?

Atomic -That link you posted for alignment - where exactly do those go? Are those better than the camber plates or the other kits out there. What is the one to go with is where im trying to get at.

I do not have an camber kit on mine. I am all stock and fine. But think i may now need one, b/c the wheels are inward at the top. But have to get other things done before i can get one.

Craig- Told you to go to another shop. The dealership didnt even touch it i can guarantee that one. I do not see where spindles have anything to do w/ alignment. I have drop spindles and my alignment guy did not say one thing about them, last time.

----UPDATE on coil overs---

Since i have to change the tie rods before an alignment and can not do that yet. I have switched my 20's for some NNBS 17 spares - 265/70/17, HUGE sidewall. But let me tell you, that big ole sidewall and smaller lighter rims, made my ride even softer and better than the 20's. Drives & handles better turning wise.

Also, since I had the wheels off, i double checked all bolts, brackets, frame, etc. and happy to report all is looking really well and still just as good as the day i installed. Frame is not bent, cracked nothing. And adjusting the coil overs is very easy as well. Did not even think about it and was actually moving the coil overs up by hand, by screwing the nuts up. So ride height is messed up now. Going to fix it later.

I'll post up a pic of my fine ride later w/ these sweet looking spares.

( way off topic, what do you guys think about some dub ballers in the graphite gray they have) Tired of the SS wheels.

They are the upper control arm bushings. They are offset so they push the UCA out a little bit. The cams are included in the one I posted. The bushings offer 1.5 degrees, and the cams offer an additional 1.5 degrees. It took me about an hour to do both sides complete removal of old and install of new bushings never having done it before. I do have a press though, which is a must.

You can either do just the plates, or just the bushings, or both, depending how much more adjustment you need. I decided to do both since I had everything apart anyway. Only a $20 difference I think.
