Best Buy charges 79.99 for the Xk module but with the discount it comes up too 36.79. So I'll probably be picking that up this weekend and waiting on the alarm to arrive. I just got my UPS tracking # today so I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for it.

Make sure you have the right module. We've had that one XK06 floating around for a while now. Everyone assured me it'd work, and now it hasn't in two different rigs. It's been across the country 3 times now.

I would hope that it does. Two guys here locally have it installed and so far it's been working out for them. So I may end up using their installer since he has a couple of installs under his belt.

The lastest quote has been about 150 per install and about 50 for the add on module. Now I went to another audio shop here in my local area of Stone Mountain and they use a different bypass module than the XK. The guy that I was talking too has been installing since the early 90s also.

Unless you have installed something like this before and are confident you can do it, I wouldn't. I'm half way mechanically inclined and this scared me. Worth the money to have it done correctly the first time.

+1

There are miles of wires with this thing. Unless you really know your way around the truck/electronics, I'd pay someone to do it for you.
