So I decided to buy a sample pack of color gel filters used for photography lighting and see what it takes to make my odometer display really blue. Well I've found what I like! Only paid $10 for the book. So here's a comparison:

Stock odometer color we're all well aware of (pardon the mileage):

After color gel filters (2 gels combined- color names on cards)

Here's one I tried I thought was interesting: 1 layer blue, 1 red742B0094-B00A-4111-ADA8-1C17EAC19852.jpeg

I have plenty more pics if anyone is interested.

Those work even better than the tint! Makes me wanna change my interior back lighting to blue.
Loving your cluster project!

And they acually look a litter more blue than it turned out in the pic. All my pics are from my iPhone xs max so definately not professional camera quality. For some reason my iphone camera likes to brighten the photos and make them slightly greener I've noticed. Here's one that's half n half:

Are they bright enough for you in the daylight?

What I have wondered about a few times is: is there a way ditch that vacuum flourescent display altogether and use an LCD or even an OLED screen in it's place that's the same size? That would be boss

Something like this:

Or this would definately put a smile on my face every time I turned the key:

And other ideas... Now if I could figure out how to make it work...
