Column to console shifter

I just did a search and found nothing on the subject, but saw someone do it on fb. Real clean install,..fits nicely in the left side cup holders. Has anyone installed an aftermarket console shifter in a nbs?

Yeah, cut a hole in the floor where the current outline is indented in the floorboard which includes removing the front seats and console to allow access to pull the carpet back. Fabricate a mounting point and mechanism to house the new shifter. Customize the old shift cable from the tranny to accommodate the new shifter. And of course install a shifter boot to make it all look pretty. Sounds pretty easy in theory.

The wrinkles in his door panel insert are going to drive me crazy though

Yeah but , what did he do with the hole in the column plastics? Unless they came from a stick work pickup....which you can prob rob some parts from a jy stick shift pickup as to brackets, just have to modify things to adapt it to automatic... just thinking outloud man...

He got a new column shroud,.... and mounted his trailer/tow button just left of the console on the dash
