This might be a silly question, and I'm more curious than anything else, because my truck is running fine.

Is there a piston sealant that would help restore some compression and power or even stop oil burning even if just slight?

Thanks
R.

I used to use Restore in my Chevy Corsica LTZ. It's an epoxy resin that claims to fill in the longitudinal scrapes on the cylinder walls. Yes, it does work. Once you pour it in it takes about 50 miles of driving for it to produce results. It will restore compression in most engines quite nicely. However, it doesn't last long and it will not cure anything. I never had any smoke coming out of the tail pipe prior to using it and used Mobil 1 in that car.
I used it repeatedly and was enjoying the results until one day around 150k motor locked up. With that motor it could have been anything so i'm not blaming the Restore.

I'm not saying that it will cause your engine to lock up. Lol. Sorry. My engine had had ton of miles on it when it locked up. The Restore stuff pretty much did what it said, it restored compression. You will feel it when you hit the gas.
