Compressor always on

Sorry bout that, I read the post way to fast and missed that part, also missed DenaliAK commentin' on the de-humidify thing....not doin' so well with my first post, lol.

As far as your problem, I dunno, maybe heater circuit board is goin' south like the one in my '95?

if the recirc button is pushed it will also cycle the a/c...just one more thing to throw out there

My recirc button is off. Just the heat is on.

i'm pretty sure my compressor runs all the time as well, even if the defrost or a/c aren't on.

That doesnt make any sense to me. To my knowledge - no GM car has the compressor on all the time. There's no need.

i haven't actually checked to verify, but with just the air on or heat on, it seems like the compressor is running causing a drain on the system.

This seems odd to me. Why would it running all the time? Are the rest of the tahoe /yukon owners out there ok with this? Seems like an incredible strain on the compressor to have it running at all times. Not to mention the gas mileage! Do folks not even notice?!
