compustar alarm?

so at my local stereo shop they carry compustar alarms... the owner and all his workers have them installed on their vehicles... and its what hes suggesting to install on my tahoe any suggestions?

As an installer, I always preferred DEI/Viper. But as a consumer it's a toss up between DEI and Compustar. Compustar has a lot of cool features especially on their Pro Series models.

ok so they went to install the alarm... it started the truck but then it died... and it wouldnt lock/unlock the doors... he used the bypass too any ideas???

Did the battery die or did the truck just shut off? Does it start with the key?

The reason I ask is if the battery died then the bypass will have to be reprogrammed to control the door locks.

nope battery did not die and it started just fine with the key...

sounds like he cant install... tach wire may be done wrong. hence the start fail. the locks, well if they dont work either what did he do right?

it was his first time using the bypass and his printer was down so he plugges all the wires into the bypass and only needed two of em... fixed now works just fine and very nice starting the truck and having the ac runnin before i get in down here in florida!
