So very odd thing happened. I have still been dealing with harder up/down shifts than I would like but haven't heard the loud clunk in weeks. It's pretty random. I did have to tow my 14ft enclosed trailer around town this weekend. Not alot of weight in it at all but probably around 3000lbs total. I used Tow/Haul mode the entire trip of around 30 miles. First, I really like this engine/transmission combo for towing versus my old 2015 Silverado with the 5.3l/6spd trans. Seems to hold the rpm range much better and doesn't hunt around for the right gear.
So after I unhooked the trailer and took it out of Tow/Haul mode, the transmission seems to be shifting much smoother up and down. I thought for sure I was losing my mind. Did running in Tow/Haul mode cause the learning process to re-program the shifts?
