I'm new here, so please forgive me for sounding like an idiot...

I have a 1999 Yukon SLE 4x4 and I'm having trouble finding the right parts for it. According to all of the local parts stores here, my truck is equipped with the Police Package. However, I have trouble believing that my rig came with the Police Package along with rear air, leather, and dual heated power front seats.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

you can use a VIN search website. it will give you all the packages and options on your truck. some are free and some will trick you but you can also check the list of codes in your glove box. it could be the "special service" tahoe but i doubt it...

does the speed dial go up to 130? or just 100? if its 130 its a police/special service truck. if not then its a non police truck

The speedo is the standard unit. However, every time I order parts for it, I have to specify that it is the police package. If I don't request police package parts, I get parts that don't fit my truck. As far as I know, everything on my rig is stock and hasn't been swapped for heavy duty parts or anything.

I thought the police package was 2 wheel drive only.

What parts haven't fit?

Thats why I'm a bit confused. The rear end is different. Standard Yukon brakes are waaay too small for the drums. I have to specify that I need Police Package parts when I replace my brakes. When I replaced my alternator, I was told that it was a 140. There's also a small radio antenna permanently attached to the roof of the rig, a few inches from the third brake light. The antenna has been removed, but the base is still there.

I've tried to identify it but it doesn't seem to fit into any categories. The only thing that I can think of is that it may have been some sort of dealer option. The paint scheme is odd too. I've only seen one other truck painted the same way mine is.

I'll have to wait for some brake pics until the ground is dry again, but here is a pic from the side

but more pics are needed. and if 4x4 you should have 6x5.5 hubs with 11" rear drums.
