Dodge will be offering a diesel in the 1500 Ram. there is your fuel economy and towing power. Better than a hybrid anyday.

Picked up the Hybrid on Sunday, and after already driving 200 miles in combination city and highway roads, I am glad to see 20 mpg on the DIC.
I definitely notice the difference in drive, in the electric steering, and in the braking, but none of these are anything I won't get used to.
The only down side I see so far is that I have a less storage than my non-hybrid Yukon Denali. The 300 volt battery keeps the middle seats from folding flatter, and you lose storage space under the seats. Also the 3rd row seats have ramps that keep the floor from being flat. I used to be able to sleep in the back of my non-hybrid model on fishing trips, but wouldn't be able to do this in the Hybrid. I can deal with this for the fuel savings though, and it is time I quit packing so many items that I rarely use in the first place.
The electronic features are awesome, and in fact all the bells and whistles are great; hopefully they will be as reliable as in my non-hybrid model.
I am getting strange looks from cars that stop next to me at lights...the Hybrid badging gives them pause! Love this!
Overall I am very pleased with the decision to get this; there are very few left in inventory on the west coast.
