Has anyone tried to replace their console cover to accommodate the new iPhones? My iPhone X doesn't work for the 2017, but they do for the 2019. Wondering if I get the same color as my interior, can GMC swap it out so I can charge my phone on it.

Just do a Google search as there is a lot of information about replacing your charging unit under the pad. You are replacing it with a 2018 unit. Video and part numbers are provided.

Can my 2017 Lt be upgraded with a new console cover, so it charges my phone? Somehow I found a 2017 LT loaded with everything but a sunroof, nav, and phone charger on the console.

(got 4x4 and tow/haul upgrade, leather heated seats, etc, just did not want the sunroof or power folding seats, no kids so its just more stuff to break)

Does yours have the charging pad? If so then yes. If not there is a way to ad it. Just do a Google search.

cost you about 100$

the 2016 plug wont work with the 2018 charge pad but you can buy the correct plug or modify it with an xacto knife.

My 15 Tahoe has this charging capability, but I have 2 issues with it. First, it won't charge my phone if it has any kind of case on it whatsoever. Second, it is SLOOOOOOWWWWWW to charge. I know that the faster chargers have come out after 2015, so can anyone tell me from experience if the newer parts charge faster or stronger? If so, I would be willing to spend the $100 to upgrade.
