I have a line on a set of take-off wheels and tires from a 2020 Escalade for $1490.00 including caps, sensors and lugs. The tires look brand new (see photo). The fellow selling them says they were run less than 50 miles. Likewise, the wheels are flawless as near as I can tell. I'm hesitating because I've never owned Continental tires and prefer Michelin Defenders. Do any of y'all have experience with these particular Continental Cross Contact LX ECOPLUS+ tires? Can anyone compare them to Michelin Defenders for comfort and tread wear? Thanks.

My best friend got a set of 2021 Takeoffs with those exact tires and he likes them, quiet, smooth and surprisingly grippy for a eco style tire. He has only about 5k on them and they look new but time will tell more about wear.

You will get 40,000-50,000 miles out of them. We dont see much mileage out of them at the dealership I work at.

It’s the same tires that came stock on my 2018 Yukon Denali with 20s, they sucked. We replaced them after a year at 25k miles. Tread was left on them but they have crap channels for rain on the highway and were awful in snow. Same thing with the 15 XL we had before. Replaced before 30k miles.
Replaced both trucks tires with Michelin Defenders. Ride much better and way better in the different elements.
Have had friends replace these Continentals with Defenders before even driving their new trucks off the lot.

If you really like the wheels, buy the package and try them out. Worst case, you remove the tires, buy Michelin Defenders, and sell the Continentals on Ebay or equivalent.

Our '21 yukon came with those and as stated above they suck in the rain. Both my wife and I felt they were down right dangerous with how much the vehicle got tossed around from any amount of water on the road. After 6k miles we'd had enough and replaced them with ridge grapplers and the yukon is rock solid in the rain and snow now

Mine were shot at 32k miles. Went with Pirelli Scorpion and love them.

My wife had them on her Toy Highlander and while they rode well, she only got about 30,000k from them. We rotate tires on all three of our vehicles every 5-7,000k thru Discount Tire.
