Has anyone taken on a conversion of a 15 or 16 rear entertainment in hopes to convert it to the HDMI inputs with blu ray and streaming? I would love to install an apple tv. thank in advance.

Heres the part...https://www.ebay.com/itm/84144678-Rear-Entertainment-Receptacle-HDMI-MHL-2-USB-2017-Silverado-Sierra/232578728424?fits=Model:Suburban&epid=26010531068&hash=item3626c5c1e8:g:F1kAAOSwySlaHfdn:sc:USPSFirstClass!78669!US!-1

I just don't know how easy it is to make it work. I don't mind loosing the sd slot and one of the USB to get HDMI. Does anyone know anything about swapping this in?

Maybe I missed this, but if it can be swapped in, is the DVD Monitor going to be able to handle the digital signal? The [HDMI] to [composite] converter downscales to 480p (isn't that right?) and therefore allows digital (>480) signals to be played on the monitor.

Also, according to this thread...

http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/upgrade-16-denali-to-hdmi-input-from-17-romodels.86695/

...the boards from the 2017+ models with HDMI have two micro USB ports on them, while the 2015 and 2016 boards have only one micro USB and a multi-pin connection. They are not swappable as plug and play modules. I would think that an engineer from GM would be able to provide an answer, but how can you get them to provide answers on something like this? Is that even possible?
