I bought my 07 Tahoe LTZ 3 months ago. The airbags on the rear shocks were shot. I have been having trouble getting the air hose to seal up with the new shocks. The hoses are good but if they barely move or I put weight in the rear of the truck it starts to leak again. I am just about sick of the autoride. My options are to buy different rear shocks again for about $500 and risk something else in the system failing or to buy a conversion kit from arnott for about $500. The kit I am looking at is Arnott C2835. I also have never replaced rear coils on a vehicle before. How difficult is this to do with jack stands instead of a lift?
Additional question - If I just convert the rear shocks to coil and don't replace the front shocks what happens? The front shocks don't have air running to them with the autoride system so I am not really sure how the rear shocks would effect them.
Any info or experience you can offer would help. Thanks
