If I had a garage I would do it myself, I also don't have all the tools necessary to pull the engine. I've just been wondering how long I can drive the engine with this problem. I've been keeping an eye on the oil and if I have to I'll change the oil every 1500 miles. The Supertech oil at walmart is super cheap and with a POS Fram filter I can change the oil for under $20.

Well got the results back from the lab for the oil test. Pretty much says coolant is getting in the oil and they are finding high than normal wear metals in the oil. All that was found with only 950 miles on the oil...That tells me that this engine will probably throw a bearing soon...

Don't laugh too much. I have been using this stuff for years.
I'd give this stuff a try......

Silver Seal Radiator Stop Leak . Can't do any harm.

I have seen head sealants on the garage shows on tv. Don't know which one works best but they are definitely out there and engineered to give you many more miles down the road. I would start to research them while waiting for the right motor.

I'm not going to lie but I put some stop leak stuff in a few months ago....it was called liquid copper.. it definitely helped slow down the amount of coolant being used. I think I may put another bottle in soon...

Silver Seal Radiator Stop Leak

Trust me....try it.

I thought it's your motor not radiator? Look at the restoration pages on the web. Those guys who restore old cars know the best additives.
