Coolant other than Dex-Cool...

The last fluid I have to change on my 1999 Tahoe is the coolant, hasn't been done since 2012. I have a Valvoline Instant Oil Change place near me that I have used for 15+ years, never had a single bad experience. Instead of Dex-Cool, they use their MaxLife coolant in most vehicles that come in. I looked at the product information sheet and it says it is compatible with "all coolants, all colors, etc...". They flush the entire system out including the overflow tank and replace it. Does this sound OK for this truck? I have only used Dex-Cool in the past. Thanks for any help...

Drain the DEX-Kill as soon as possible.

I just converted over to the green stuff when I replaced my intake manifold gaskets last month.

I have spoken to numerous Techs that say that stuff causes nothing but problems

Thanks for the advice. I was at my local Goodyear today and even they don't use the GM coolant anymore. They use Valvoline fluids and would use the one I mentioned in my previous comment. Should I use any kind of radiator "flush" product first, or just drain and refill with non Dex Cool? Thanks.
