Got take a look before running the truck to see if you can see signs of coolant loss. A good sign is a white residue on the lower radiator hose that may look as if it is coming out of the top of the hose. If you see that then you may be looking at replacing the pump. To make sure it is the pump and not the hose, Find the weep hole on the bottom of the pump and run the truck until warm and then turn it off and go take a look, if the pump is bad you should see signs of the coolant leaking out of the weep hole, you may also be able to actually see the coolant leaking from the weep hole while the truck is idling at temperature

Hope that isn't it, but like stated above, at some point you would have been doing the pump anyway, good luck!

NEVER do the old "flush with water, then fill with 100% to let it mix in the engine" if you are using dexcool. Using 100% dexcool will eat away at your pump gaskets, radiator, and basically everything it comes in contact with. You need to empty everything out of the radiator and block, then refill with 50/50 dexcool only!

Thanks for everyone's input...I just went a head and replaced the water pump, thermostat and upper/lower hoses.
