Whats going on Del. Man i always loved the looks of the perma cools. i want!

But glad your moving over to the Flexalite club. I love mine, and there is a write up on here somewhere. Model number 280.. But throw up some pictures of the sexy motor when your down doing the swap. :)

I dont have any complaints on the flexs. Very quiet operation and smooth. Those blades do hurt by the way. lol Had it start on me when i was trying to adjust the fan settings ahha

So which flexalite are you going with? Did you notice the a/c blew colder once you installed the electric fan?

I’m going with the flex-a-lite 280.

My A/C has always been ice cold, so the electric fans made no difference that I could sense. I went to electric fans, because the new water pump I was using spins the opposite direction from the stock pump, so I would have had to find a fan made to run backwards. It just seemed easier at the time to go with electric fans.

Hey Adam, your interior work is awesome. I had some questions about this fan deal, but realized I lost your email address when I had a computer problem a few weeks back.

Shoot me an email when you have time, so I can catch that address again. We were getting ready for a session at the drag strip, so I’m glad this fan problem made itself known now. Drag strip activities tend to make more heat than just wandering around the neighborhood. Lol

I do like the way the Perma-cool frames the fans. Maybe I can mount the Flex-a-lite setup on the perma cool sheet metal. I will wait till I get it spread out on the bench, and then see what fits with what.

Seems like good advice to keep the fingers away from the spinning fan blades……………:)

Haha! ill shoot you one tonight Del. Thanks for the interior comment. Its coming along.

The flexalites are a great fan, but i can go away with the black plastic molded ABS or whatever it is. I like the look of the permas better. have fun! Where did you end up buying them from??

I just ordered them from Summit. UPS ground, so it will probably be the middle of next week before I see them.

I’m putting off the water pump. The only time is dribbles is when I get up around 7,000 rpm’s. The rest of the time it’s bone dry. It is such a major job to get down to the water pump on this engine, that I would prefer to leave it for the dead of winter, when there is nothing to do. I know I said that before, but I missed last winter with other things going on.

The video setup is nearing completion, so I will send you some pix’s via email…………..
