Cooper AT3

I just ordered a set of Copper Discovery AT3 265/75 16 tires They say they will go 55K I hope they last this long or more I rotate my tire on every oil change.
I read good reviews on this tire.

I have a 2001 Yukon XL 4X4 with 4:10 gears.
I wanted a AT type tire not to aggressive but not a HWY tire either.

I have the tow package 4:10 gears are nice but I don't tow very much with Yukon.
I went with the 265/75 16 there are inch taller so this should drop my RPM's at 70 MPH this should improve my HWY MPG.

Let us know about how you like those tires, Ive never bought them but have looked at them. Ive always stuck with BFG AT's Im curious on your impression with the Coopers.

I have done lots of reading and it seems others say the Cooper is a nicer tire compared to the BFG's.

But for the price difference the Cooper is a better deal.

I run the AT3 in the winter on my truck. I put about 8-9000 miles on this set so far and I love them. They are absolutely great in the snow, they are just about as good as the BFGs in the snow. They are an all around good tire, I work in the oilfield and have put a decent amount of nasty lease road miles on them and they have never let me down. They are quiet on the road as well. They seem to be waring great, they show very little ware considering what they have been through, if they had nipples on them you'd think they were brand new.

I've been running the AT3 for just over a year and a half now in a 285/70R17 and they are great so far. Handled our PA winters quite well with the exception of a few ice storms we had. I lost track on how many miles are on them but it's between 8,500 and 9,200 miles and are wearing great and still look like new. They cake up with mud but clear themselves out in no time.

I driven about 100 miles on them so far.

They are very quite no tire hum I didn't want a loud mudder type tire sound going down the road.

Nice smooth ride.

And handle well.

Theses tires are 1 inch large diameter 75 series instead of the 70s that came on the Yukon now I need to calibrate the speedo for the larger tire.

Theses tires are the same with as the stock 265/70 16.

I have them on my white Tahoe there a nice aggressive tire and are holding up well they prob have 8k on them if I had to guess since I had them on '00 before I got my PPV wheels.

Update

I had the Yukon alignment today to try to make the tires last as posible.

The front end was a litttle off on the right side not much.

It also rained while we were out the tires work good in the rain.

Also took down some dirt roads work good So far I like these tires.

I got a chance to loosen up the lug nuts and re torque them my self I do not trust those tire shops you can call it OCD but now I know there right.

I also changed the air pressure from 32 PSI to 40 PIS max is 44.

Make a long story short years ago we took a trip with our RV and got flat tire in Florida on one those long bridge spans I could not get the lug nuts off the shop that put them on over tighten them it was a night mare never again that is why I make sure I torque them my self so if I get a flat on the road the tire can be change by my self.
