So after some tweaking of the recent header and ypipe install, the hoe was finally where she needed to be. Sounded great, better performance blah blah blah. Heading into work this morning I hear this new sound that almost sounds like a loose heat shield would. No heat shields on this setup so I checked a couple things when I got home. Noise is def coming from the muffler itself and is hard to describe other than it makes the truck sound like it has a bad exhaust leak and now sounds like SHIT! The only thing I could think of is the temperature change recently getting cooler but it doesn't make sense why I would have an issue with a year old exhaust system. After dropping all that coin, its driving me INSANE :wtf:

Is it almost tinney at certain RPM? I had 2 Corsa sport mufflers go bad on my 05 1/2 ton truck. They replaced them under warranty and said that it is usually a weld breaking in a baffle in the muffler.

Yep, that's exactly it, how bad was the replacement process and did you buy direct from manufacturer?

Have you tried to get under the truck and bang on the exhaust with your hand when it's hot and cold to see if you can hear the sound? Try moving the exhaust around and also see if you are getting a bit of rubbing anywhere, I had something like that happen to me when I first installed the exhaust. Ended up being one of the clamps had come slightly lose which allowed the pipe to move around a bit which caused the noise!

Also, call them up and ask them about their warranty, my dad special ordered his system for his Caddy XLR and they were super cool to talk with!

Corsa has had known issues with welds breaking on the inside.

They will warranty it.

Don't remember the specifics. If you need original receipt, etc. I would calll the warranty department and they should send you another muffler. You will have to pay for the one you are getting until the receive the old one back. Just put the bad one in the same box and stick the RMA# on it and they pay to send it back if I remember correctly.
