Hi, I'm looking into getting a 2001 tahoe. It's stock right now. I'm going to mod it quite a bit. I've always had lifted tahoes, but am going the other way now. Can anyone tell me what I should expect to spend APPROX. (In California) to get it lowered. Not too much. I saw a tahoe I wanted that was 2/3 and I liked the way it sat, so maybe to that.

Also, flowmasters or magnaflow or something, any idea on what I should pay for that?

:help:

For suspension hit up NORCAL SS he a great person to deal with. For exhaust depends if you get a bolt on or custom. Got mine flomaster super 44 from jegs for $60 and had a shop weld it on with some dumps for $40.

First question is what is the max budget you would like to spend on a lowering kit?? Are you still on stock shocks??? how many miles on them?? Tell me that and I can dial in a kit for you.

2nd for the muffler get a magnaflow 5x8x18 muffler to replace the stock one. Muffler is like 75 bucks on ebay and will sound great and wont break the bank also you can keep it turned down after the rear axle if you wanted.

Awesome, you guys rocks. norcal, it will be stock shocks, I'm sure. 122k mi. I'm not looking for anything super fancy, I just want to lower it a little to look good and still keep a smooth ride. And I'm probably just putting 20's on it, so I can be fairly flexible with the tire size.

Where are you located? I'm by Oakland/East bay.

Also this truck that I'm posting is one I was going to buy, mileage is too high though, but I love the way it sits. The guy said it was 2/3. ????
