So I went into my local quick lube, and figured since I dont have any time to work on my 'HOE' while working 10+hrs a day, I would have someone else do some routine maintenance on her. To my surprise , the fluid on both diffs and t-case looks BRAND NEW, and included the coolant was also changed. Now since I heard this i thought back, to when I purchased the truck and the plugs/wires were brand new and the cap/rotor were also brand new, the only thing I actually have had to do was change the oil, and do my few things like put on bigger wires, and different plugs. I can't say im as surprised as I would usually be but the previous owners were about 60 so I should have expected this.

Sorry this was just a "rant" because im EXTREMELY happy with it int he first place and to find these other bits and pieces of information , it just makes me happy to know it will last me a REALLY LONG TIME.

The accident part doesn't seem too funny to me, but only because I nearly got into one yesterday. Just lucky I floored it when I got the green and cleared the guy that ran the red, only to have him t-bone the X5 that was next to me. My wife was right behind me in her car, so I guess we're lucky she was caught sleeping at the kid. She had our son in the car with her. Anyways, enough about my near accident.

OP, do you want to spread some of that luck my way? I want to play Mega Millions on Tuesday. I'll give you 25%. Jackpot is above $120 million right now.

I would say I got a better deal. '97 Tahoe LS 4x4 4 Door with 210,000 miles, tranny rebuilt at 186,***......$500. Bought it from family friends who were going to trade it in on a Yukon Denali with 10,000 miles on it.

Now it's at 253,***. I would say I've probably put about $2000 worth of repairs into her and another $1200 in regular wear items/maintenance (oil change, tires, brakes, shocks, etc.....)
