Cowl area noise..

I have this noise I really only hear on windy days while driving down the highway, usually over 70mph. It sounds like a clicking or plastic moving around but the entire cowl is tight and can not be moved by hand.
I don't see anything under the cowl or directly under the rear section of the hood that could be causing it. The antenna isn't loose....idk where its coming from and just kind of an annoyance thing. Anyone ever have anything like this?

Have you checked the side windshield trim pieces? They’re held on by screws, if you open the door you can see them. Maybe one came out of the bottom of one of them and it’s loose.

Take off your bug shield, and or rtv the side windshield trim to the windshield.

I dont have a bug shield anymore...thats been long gone lol. But all the screw's are tight on the sides in the door jamb. I still feel like it may be the plastic cowl piece around the antenna. I may buy a GoPro and mount it there just to test try and find it lol.

Check to be sure the splash guards around the wheels/engine compartment are all fastened up properly, these truck make sounds travel it can sound like it is coming from one place but it's actually coming from some where else.

Remove the cowl piece and see if the noise goes away. Actually you should remove any trim in that area you can, one at a time, and drive after each one is removed to see if it’s the problem.

I can’t find a bulletin on our body style but heres the same thing on a newer one

Same condition and cause, but instead of glueing them down on our body style, they use double sided tape.

Like I said, if OP thinks those moldings are the problem, remove them and go for a drive. They’re just trim pieces so it won’t hurt anything or cause a leak. They're not glued down from the factory.

Yep, open the door, lift up the rubber weatherstrip and there’s 4 torx screws holding each one down. I pulled mine and painted them so I’m familiar.
