cowl hood inserts?

thats a nice cowl i want one a little bigger uhh heres a illustration lol


I did that EXACT same thing on my old S-10 blazer, but I did it as a wedge. I saw a 2" Cowl Hood, wanted it higher than that, but not as high as the 6" ProStreet one they had at Summit racing.

From those hood lines, I came in 2" at the front, and even with the lines in the back. Cut along the lines, then tack-welded a piece of sheet metal (cut from another old hood, BTW) filling in the gap. Ended up doing mine 3 1/2" inches, which looked extremely badass on the S-10. As the Tahoe is larger, I'd say a 4 1/2 - 5" would be THE SHIT. Wish I'd taken pics when I did it, but that was about 15 years ago....

Me, I'd try to add a couple vents along the sides, much like the newer HD Chevy trucks have.... that'd be awesome.

Got you ***** beat. Cl BNIB for 215 shipeed to my door plus 200 to paint!

Umm it woukld cheaper to buy one. Think bout it...

Labor labor labor...you have to weld right and then its a whole nother process to make it smooth!
