Crank position sensor relearn procedure?

I replaced my crank position sensor, due to a P0335 code. I don't have a bidirectional scanner for the relearn procedure. Do I need to do this? Can it be done without the scanner?

If it's cranking and starting "normal" , no you are fine
It's not always needed, just recommended

It should be fine, but have it done if you experience unexplained random misfires.

requires a tech2 or similar type tool, once you have that it takes like 1 minute to do

I will borrow a scanner. It did have a long crank one time starting it.

I changed mine and did NOT need to do a relearn.
