So I got my BB tune tonight and was wondering how long some of you drove until you had the crank relearn done.. any harm in driving.. lets say 1200 miles? lol

Haha the relearn isn't that hard to have an excuse to leave alone for that many miles. Most do the relearn immediately they get it.

heh.. well the reason I said 1200miles was because in a few hours im leaving for North Dakota and since Im leaving so early in the morning I thought I'd hit a dealership on my way there.. or when I get there. No check engine light thus far...

i drove mine for probably 600-700 miles before i had it done when justin tuned mine in person. i didn't notice a difference in anything. Maybe ask justin or jenna, but i did it and never had any issues...

I did mine with my laptop right away, so I'm not sure about any ill effects from NOT doing it. However, if the man says it needs to be done, then it probably should be done before logging 1200 miles in the thing, lol. +1 on getting ahold of Justin or Jenna.

I thought if things ran fine you didn't need to but then I could be wrong, it's been since January and I could have forgotten. Yeah, they're right, check with Justin or Jenna.

its a new pcm since the wait for the data-loggin wasn't going to fly with my travel, so I did the traditional tune and it came in at the last minute!!!! No check engine light, though I did read about having it done anyway due to it being a new pcm over at LS1TECH and also the sheet that Justin provides. I'll PM Jenna

PM returned....

You can run on your truck just fine without a crank relearn, however there is a chance that your truck will run more efficiently with the relearn done.
