Crazy Subwoofer!

I have a 2002 Tahoe LS I've replaced the stock subwoofer about 2 years ago and now it's making a funny noise at times like if somebody was hitting the truck. I have an amp and replaced the other speakers in the doors also. I've had the amp for about 7 years.

sounds like your about to have a blown sub...
the vc is probably rubbing. replace it or toss a 10 or 12 under the back seat if saving space is a concern

voice coil in the subwoofer.
its probably rubbing or if its only making noise at higher volumes your hitting the backplate...
probably time for a new sub frank
