So I have been thinking about ways to create rear A/C in my 99 2dr. At first I was thinking about getting a center console that has rear A/C built in and runing the floor vents to it and then just turning on the top and floor A/C would create a rear A/C. I think that would be the easiest way. Now I am spending more time with the new girlfriend I kinda want a front bench style seat which means no center console. Has anyone done this, have advice, or can think of another / better way?

Thanks in advance!

I'd look at finding a suburban with rear air and stealing everything you need off of it.

The rear feeds the overheads. The ones on or near the floor console are dusted from the front unit along six the tranny tunnel.

Why do you want a bench seat up front? Why not just Fu<k in the back like everyone else does. Center console is there for a reason, so when she is blowing your whistle you can hit the buttons from behind.

the suburbans have them built into the floor under the carpet if im not mistaken. not sure if theres any removable duct work under there or not it seems to enter the frame of the truck ender the hump that the glovebox sits on. seen some 2doors at the salvage yard with the same setup before. if the performance of your ac is what your worried about id check out the whole system and make sure everything works right my 2 door can kick ass on a 90 degree day and keep the cab at a nice cool temp
