So now that the Crees have been in for a little while, I'm having my first problem! Just noticed last night that the reverse light on my driver side is flashing. It's almost like it's strobing. It will randomly flash brighter when I'm reversing or when the truck is off but the lights are still on. Any idea what could cause this? Maybe water is leaking in or something? I did wash my truck yesterday and didn't notice this until immediately after. Anyone else have a similar problem?
I would guess the cause is poor build quality, but you probably wanted a more specific answer than that?
Remove the light and power it directly from another 12V source like for instance the battery while not running, this will eliminate any possibility of it being in your wiring or something. Clean any electrical contact points. It's very probably a failing driver internal to the light.

Aww, this SUCKS......
Do the power confirmation as above said ^^^^.
I would be giving VLEDs a call. They should replace no problem.

V-LEDS/Cree rant coming up:
Okay, so I sent the lights back to V-LEDs. I'm in Virginia and they're in Washington state, so it cost me 15 bucks to ship them back through UPS. I wasn't too psyched to pay nearly a third of the original price just to get the problem fixed, but whatever. I got a new pair two weeks later. V-LEDs came through for me.
...Or so I thought. I popped the new lights in and hit the unlock button on my remote to flash the lights. The reverse lights flashed for a second and shut off, unlike the brake lights which stayed on. Not a good sign, but I didn't pay too much thought to it. Later, I realized the lights weren't coming on at all.
Okay, must be a fuse. I managed to pick up some fuses when I stopped by a Wal Mart but it cost me 4 bucks for two of them. Again, I'm adding to the original $40 I paid, but whatever. I changed the fuse and thought I was done, but later realized they again were not coming on. ************, are these lights blowing a fuse every time?
So an hour ago, I try again. To rule out the possibility that I got the wrong fuses (#10, red), I decide to take one out of the spot that's listed as "trailer reverse lights" and put it in the reverse lights slot. Blown immediately. I ended up removing the Crees and reinstalling the original reverse lights for a second time. After I do that, I put the remaining new fuse in the reverse light slot and they work fine.
I tried to find the lights on V-LEDS' website but it says they're sold out. I'm guessing that maybe they sent me lights with a different wattage or something. So far I've spent $40 on the lights and an additional $19 trying to make them work and I'm not looking forward to paying more to send them back a second time. If possible I'm going to see if V-LEDS will just refund my money and I'll find working Crees somewhere else.

Sorry to here, but I was just going to order some cree reverse bulbs from VLED. I may do better on eBay. I had a credit with VLED due to a set of HID's blew and were no longer in stock and got some 194 LEDs to do interior and license plate bulb, and of course one plate bulb and interior blew. Maybe a sign to stop dealing with them for me.
