cruise control inop

button on steering wheel controls shows power present but no reaction and no cruise light on dash when i go to set it. any help?

Have you replaced your brake light bulbs with LEDs? I have heard plenty stories about people's cruise control not working after installing LED bulbs in the tail lights.
If so, try putting regular bulbs back in to see if thats the problem or not.

Mine is the same. My dealer says the brake sensor goes bad, and causes the cruise to not to work. The fix is replacing the sensor, which is apparently somewhere in the region of the brake pedal.

only did license plate and puddle light led swap, long time ago, was working after that swap for more than a yr. no taillight led. thanks though

u would think if there is a sensor it would set off a dash light, but maybe not. i rarely trust what the dealer tells me, seems that we know more here on this forum. but i will look into it, thanks

He is a buddy of mine...was a salesman and now service Mgr. of Ware Chevrolet in Blairsville, GA. Small country dealership but on top of things. I trust what he says.

Same problem on my 08 Yukon and it was definitely the brake switch on the brake pedal. No warning lights or anything. It was an 11 dollar part from the dealer simple fix.
