Hi guys, I'm new to the site and wanted to introduce myself and see if anyone could help me with my problem. I just bought a 2007 Gmc Yukon Denali and have problems with the cruise control and heated steering wheel. The heated steering wheel sometimes works and the cruise never works. I replaced the switch and the clock spring and still no change. Anyone have this problem or any suggestions. Thanks, Pete

Yes, I'm out of warranty. I have checked the fuses and replaced a couple of parts.

When the heated steering wheel doesn't work, does the orange light still come on anyways?

BTW it sounds to me (so far) that the set of controls on the left are out. You might be able to replace that part by itself. Salvage yards sell perfectly good Denali heated steering wheels for around $125-$175, though. Might look into that if you have to replace the entire wheel.

I replaced the switch already. When the heated steering wheel works it does light up. The funny thing is that the cruise control light on the steering wheel always lights up but never engages or light up on the dash.

I have the exact same problem with the cruise control on my 2007 Suburban LTZ. The light will come on the steering wheel when the button is pushed but will not engage or light up on the dash. Did you figure this problem out. I am thinking about changing the switch out, did that work for you? Any help would be really appreciated.

Brake Switch

I have the same problem and I think the problem is the brake pedal switch. I can't seem to find much info on line about this but when you hit the brake obviously that shuts down the cruise control. There is a switch on the brake pedal that sends a signal to the CC module to shut it off when the brake pedal is pressed. If that switch get unaligned it will always send a signal as if the pedal was being pressed. With my cruise if I pull up on the brake pedal or kick it with my foot the cruise will work. If I hit a bump (like going on to an interstate bridge) the CC will siengage becasue that switch is so sensitive. If anyone has any info on how to replace or adjust that switch that would be great.
