Crush Washers on Wheel Studs?

Are these put on from the factory to hold the wheels in place during assembly?
Are people usually removing them when changing wheels?

If you're talking about the thin washers they're just to keep rotors in place.

If your putting aftermarket wheels on cut them off. Factory wheels are made to go over them.

Yep...that's what I was thinking. It was the same with a previous car, but wanted to confirm.

I have a slight vibration at high speeds.
