Curious how you can tell if it is a 2wd or AWD

I was just curious can you tell if you had a 2wd and a AWD right next to each other could you tell? How would you know the differance if no one told you weither it was AWD or 2wd?

Easiest way to tell is look and see if the SUV has CV joints behind the front brake rotors.

It also has to have a driveshaft going to the rear differential to be AWD.
