The MSRP prices are unreal. The auto industry is going to be hurting soon. I am so sick of dealers I refuse to buy anything new (except a Tesla or Rivian you can order online).

Isn't Rivian wait like 8-10 months?

The charging infrastructure doesn't exist for it to make sense for me right now (this is a trip vehicle) so looked but passed on the Rivian.

MSRP is lower than they ever have been. even my 22 order that changed over to a 23 order with $2500 supercruise only went up a few hundred bucks because inflation has been very slightly outpacing truck prices for most of the time i've been alive. I commonly see people that just flat out do not understand the value of a dollar changes so significantly over the course of a year... even more so the last 2 years with almost 10% inflation numbers.

They don’t really say, but I’m gonna assume it’s the usual basics of a wax job, some spray can rust proofing, and the VIN number etched on the window, oh and probably nitrogen filled tires!

At least you are getting something tangible (albeit unnecessary and stupid). Some of these gm dealers are making you pay for air basically.

Worst part of this kind of crap is is absolutely KILLs the consumer if financing...because most will tuck it in the loan, and then your vehicle is worth way less than the note, becuase none of these "extras" add any value...

What I think is totally crazy, is I don’t even think Yukons get a 15 K mark up. But tellurides do. Also, you could go out of state, have a weeks vacation, buy the vehicle and drive home, and still be cheaper than buying it down here.
