i think it might be easier to start from a 6x6 likke 3/16 square tube and build from there then weld all the pieces together

6x6 tubing is the perfect size to start with IMO. It doesn't look as good as the one you drew up but I this one was posted over on Pirate.

Right right... Well les stop talkin and get to work! I'm be gonna be building this sometime in the next 2-3 weeks. About having a hitch that comes on and off?... I can give you an answer of no. Do it right do it once, either have it be part of the bumper or get another hitch.

If that 6x6 piece on that SAS hoe was cut on the ends at an angle \________/ it would look ALOT better also its to high up. Pretty much what I'm shooting for except with the center cut \___U___/|__TAG__|\___U___/ U's are the D rings, like we had decided

I agree what you guys have come up with will look better. That's his frame flexing pushing the bumper up higher on the driver side though, you can see the gap gets is bigger on the pass. side. As long as your building one and not buying it'll be cool regardless IMO.

i want to make something custom and they really dont have much going for obs after market bumpers :/ and the ones they do hang down twice as much as stock and look plain fugly and cost like over 1000 bucks. the rear alone from kma would be over 500 when i could build something similar not have to wait forever and half price if that. if rear goes well i want to make some sort of side rock slider/tree sliders and they could be steps for short people who climb in it and hide the frame some. then maybe venture on making a front down the road, but i like my diesel bumper for now
