Damn state cops and their tint laws...

Well, I got repair ticket #2 a week or so ago and broke down and got my fronts re-tinted to 35%.... man it looks gay but what can ya' do? I told myself when I got them tinted with 5%(which put them at 3% with the factory privacy glass) that if I got pinched twice I'd go legal so I did, it just looks so wack.....but not as wack as a $250 ticket..............

at least you're allowed to tint the front. In Cali it's illegal to have any tints on the front windows.

the cops just mad they dont have a sexy truck like yours to hop in once they get off work. If I was a cop I would care less what someone has on their truck. Its your sh*t and you should be able to trick it out however you want.

I agree but that's not the law........ Just about every time I left the city the state police nabbed me and I got lucky with two repair tickets(no fine), I'm not rolling the dice on a $200+ ticket again........

Cops just pulled me over for mine. I was right by my house and knew the ******* were coming for me. Rolled slow for two blocks after they lit me up and parked in front of my house. I just shut the truck off and opened the driver's door slow when the cop got out of his car. I asked what this was regarding and he didn't answer, asked for my id and registration. I complied and asked the other cop what it was regarding when he asked me to roll down my windows, to which I refused. He said my tint was illegal and they passed a new law where I can't have any tint on the front windows. I proceeded to hand them my denver pd friend's business card and explained to him my truck was indeed quite legal. We argued a bit which ended in me courteously berating the cop, whereupon he apologized and handed me his card. I'm still not sure how that one worked out but I'm not complaining.

So is it illegal and your friends card got you off or is there a loop
hole?

Don't know which worked better, my arrogance or the referral. Stoked I didn't have to deal with some booshit over my window tint. Srsly I think anyone with 5% knows how to drive and isn't a viable threat toward other motorists.
