besides your vote you know everyone is just going to vote burn it to the ground just because you put it there. your best fix is replace the back spots with new or used harness pieces from a u pull it. get some heat shrink or unions with heat shrink on them. if your good or decent as soldering wires just go to a u pull it yard cut what you need out of that vehicle.

My vote is to just to the harness

It's difficult to assess the extent of damage from the picture. If it's just a wire or 2, de-pin and re-wire the damaged wires. More than that, replace the thing. It's not worth your time to re-do everything. Harnesses are plug and play.

That being said, I have a strong aversion to a quick fix and risk chasing random electrical issues over the next couple years. Meh.

Moth balls under the hood work well. The real ones, not the natural cedar nonsense. They stink to high heaven though, be warned.

haha pretty much.
I have the liquid electrical tape there for the process of just re-insulating the wires. The didn’t seem to chew any metal. But a better inspection is required.
I’ve been trying to see if there is any wire harnesses available online, but I’m not seeing any. Junkyards were never a thing for me cause the closest one is about 2 hours from me.
