Dash lights won't turn off

I noticed last night that my dash lights were on. That was after being parked for a few hours. I went out and looked to make sure everything was turned off. The radio was off. I started the truck and watched the lights as I opened the door. The dash lights flickered like they were about to go off the same time the radio did but they stayed on. The dash light dimmer will not turn them off or dim them down. Today they were on again. The dash lights are the only thing not turning off. The truck is all stock. No aftermarket radio or alarm system. Any ideas would appreciated.

Even though I have no warranty the dealer said to bring it in on Monday. I will update when I find out what is going on with it.

Sounds like the dimmer switch may be the culprit.

Just got it back from the dealer. They had me in and out in 90 min. They found the four button information switch to be the cause. They did not have the part in stock so they robbed one off another Tahoe they had. It works perfect now. I am very satisfied with the sales and service Dept of Jim Clark Chevrolet in Junction city KS.
